Gina is an Exercise Technician at the BACH Lab. She is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist, who has been working on the IGNITE study since 2018. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in exercise science at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, and her Master's Degree in Health, Physical Activity, and Chronic Disease at Pitt in 2018. Her research interests include exercise intervention for prevention and management of type 2 diabetes, and she dreams of owning a business that focuses on preventative health measures for overweight and obese individuals. Gina is currently pursuing another Master's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dog walking, and being with family.
